Congrats to Myko Perevicius on receiving his bluebelt from Professor Savarese tonight. Myko is only the 2nd kid to have started in our kids program to make it to adult rank. Myko owes part of this promotion to his mom because there were a couple of times as a child and an early teen where he wanted to quit but his mom would not let him because she saw the positive effect BJJ has had on him. Myko won 2 divisions at the NJBJJF tournament on sunday and was so happy that he gave his mom a thank you kiss. Giving him this belt today was one of my happiest moments as an instructor. This belt was earned over 8 yrs and his smile showed it. Parents…I’ve never seen a adult who was happy that their parents let them quit as a child. I’m not telling anyone how to raise their children, just giving you food for thought.
Congrats Myko, I am so unbelievably proud of you!
