Teach your child how to lose

Back To School With Children’s Martial Arts

Now that your child is back in school, they might be interested in sports. While traditional sports are fun and a great way of interacting with peers, it pales in comparison to what we have to offer. Savarese Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy offers an award winning Children’s Martial Arts program ran by black belt, Sean Bermudez.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a great alternative to recreational sports offered at school. Futhermore, BJJ offers the student a chance to learn self-defense while participating in a fun and engaging sport.

Our award winning staff will work with your child in our kid’s only program. Here, they will grow and evolve into disciplined and respectful individuals as well as talented martial artists.

Don’t just take our word for it, look at the results from our latest competition. Savarese BJJ routinely finishes in the top three each time we bring our team to tournaments. However, BJJ is more than just a sport and it involves more than just winning. Our martial art is a way for your child to belong to something bigger than just themselves.

Children’s Martial Arts at Savarese BJJ

Savarese BJJ recently celebrated it’s 10 year anniversary. Our children’s martial arts program is part of the reason we have continued to grow during that decade.

The main goal at our school is to boost the self-esteem of our students, especially our youngest members. In order to accomplish this, we focus on what we consider life skills: developing confidence, discipline, courage, responsibility, and leadership.

Our belief  is that growing in these areas will allow our students to lead a happy and balanced life. In addition, between the martial arts skills that your child will develop and the life skills we will instill in them, they will be able to stand up to bullying.

Ultimately, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers a wide array of options for each student. Those that are more interested in the sport aspect of our art are going to love our competition programs. Meanwhile, those that are more interested in self-defense will gain the ability to protect themselves.
