Lyndhurst BJJ instructor promoted to 3rd degree blackbelt
Lyndhurst BJJ instructor Professor Chris Savarese was promoted to 3rd degree blackbelt this week by Bellator middleweight champion and BJJ legend Rafael Lovato Jr. Lovato, after a night of getting their competition team really for the Masters World BJJ Championship, promoted Savarese in front of the room. Lovato recognized Savarese as one of the originals Americans on the BJJ scene and spoke of his importance to the team.

Savarese had this to say after the nights training session: “What a great night of training today at my dear friend Rafael Lovato Jr’s Academy tonight. 14 high level blackbelts in the room and got in some great training. Was honored to receive the 3rd degree on my blackbelt on the mats started by Rafael Lovato Sr, who was one of the first Americans doing BJJ when I first started training. Thanks to everyone who shared it w me tonight.”
